Common Problem with Desert Night!!

Hi PlayHunter,

Well the thing is that they claim that it is a processing issue with the wire transfer. Unfortunately, American players do face this issue since some banks restrict the transaction to pass. This may take a couple days and giving a precise time frame would be hard. Almost every single online casino accepting American players do encounter this type of issue when placing withdrawals.

What we can guarantee is that we are constantly on it and doing everything in our power to get this resolved the quickest possible.

As for the strikes, like everywhere else, 3 strikes, you're out! However, Desert Night only has a temporary strike since it isn't entirely their mistake. If they are able to prove that they sent out the payment in the respected time frame as well as the statement of the banks restricting the transaction, the strike will be removed.

I hope I successfully answered all of your questions.

Thank you for the updates, while I read them earlier I have been busy and could not reply.

PlayHunter,

I deeply appreciate your feedback because it helps me know that my points are coming across. It is also good to know that others are paying attention too.

Roger,

Firstly I want to say thank you for correcting the name of the casino, but you know I have to respond to your reply.

I want you to know that just knowing that CD is willing to give a strike against a casino puts a mind at ease, but while I do understand that transactions for Americans are difficult to process, a casino using the "general American audience" as a reason for the backup of wire transfers should not be the standard answer. That is why they created third-party financial institutions like Western Union, to circumvent these types of delays while using regulatory practices for international transactions.

Had I been given a response in the beginning that they have never worked with my particular financial institution or having difficulty in the beginning would have been easier to swallow. I have worked in the banking/financial industry since I was 17 years old, so I understand if that were the reason, for some banks are smaller and have more restrictions.

As I mentioned several times before, the casino did not provide me with an "alternate" option of withdrawal just wire transfers, so in a sense they are to blame, whether they can prove they submitted the paperwork in the expected time or not. I have proven that I submitted my paperwork in a timely manner.

If they had begun the process as they said then why was I told at the last possible moment that I would not get my money. I was told that they use a third-party institution to process their transactions, so what does the third-party institution have to say about the delays? This casino chose to handle transactions in that manner for us "American" gamblers knowing they were backed up.  Send a check, send a money order, but provide more than one option. Communicate with us on perhaps providing them with an alternate bank, (and not waiting until CD calls with an option that would ultimately delay the money even longer). I posed the preceeding statement to them as a precursor to avoid this very event. In addition; one of the first things I told them at the beginning of my withdrawal process was to be honest with me. Asking me for patience on the very last business day is not being honest. Telling me that my transaction was placed on a rush when it clearly was not is also dishonest.

Saying you will get your money and apologizing over and over again means absolutely nothing at this stage in the game. I shouldn't have had to contact CD at all.

Casinos can put that they can have your withdrawals processed within the 7-10 business days (based upon documentation approval) as another means of getting you to gamble at their casino with the expectation that if you win you will have a speedy withdrawal transaction.  We know differently. I have had only one casino pay me in less than the 7-10 business day period. One out of hundreds is not a very good average.

Best Regards,

Hi dawynsmith,

We do not have any additional words to say, you have said it all. We completely agree with everything that was said above. Players shouldn't have to come through us in order for them to get their funds. Unfortunately, there are some rogue casinos out there which is where we come into play and make sure that they are crossed out and make sure that this industry becomes a better and safer gaming experience.

We got in touch with Desert Night Casino and let them know how they are being spoken of on our forums and that their reputation is in a complete decline on our website's forums. This will surely get them to put more emphasis and attention on this issue and do everything possible to get this issue accelerated to a resolution.

We will keep you updated on the next steps that we will encounter concerning your particular issue.

I submitted another email to customer service just to check on the status, and this is my reply. I am honestly not surprised by the response in lieu of the dishonesty already communicated by the casino (they have changed when my business days started):

Subject: Re: Your Withdrawal

Dear Dawyn,

Thank you for your message.

I would like to inform you that your withdrawal was approved on 9/24/12. Once the withdrawal is approved, it takes up to 7 BUSINESS days for money to hit your account. Today we have 7 business days since it was approved.

As our Accounts informed you by e-mail on 3/10, we are experiencing at this time delays for US wires and working extremely hard to over come this issue and find a solution to make the withdrawal process faster than it has been.

Just so you know, a withdrawal is sent by our payment processor company. We send the funds to them and they are responsible for wiring the money to your bank account. They do this through a network of international banks, due to strict regulations by US banks against online gaming funds.

That is to say that after the withdrawal is complete on our end, we can't influence the speed of its delivery to you. If it depended on us, it would have hit your account right after the completion of the processing.

We would appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter but again we can assure you that you will receive the funds. And you know, I don't think any other casino in the world is committed to such high standards of security and integrity. This means your money is safe, and you get it all when you win.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,

Jessica

Thank you Shawn for the phone call regarding the condition of my complaint.

I took it upon myself to contact a couple of friends in the financial industry and they confirmed that the difficulties with wire transfers from international gaming institutions are often blocked and very difficult to get process due to regulatory restrictions, so the experience Desert Night casino is very real and unfortunately a big problem, so I should be more understanding.

While they pointed out how my frustration is real, they suggested that if I am to gamble to choose casinos with alternate methods of payout. More or less casinos with payouts using checks, Western Union, Money Gram, etc.

Of course I will take this information seriously going forward. So I make a public apology to Desert Night Casino for doubting the seriousness of the wire transfer situation.

Best Regards,
