The Basic Rules Of Bingo

There are 2 types of Bingo, the American bingo with 75 possible numbers and the European bingo (better known as Tombola) with 90 possible numbers. In order to win the game, players need to complete a Bingo pattern usually a line of 5 numbers. The line can either be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. If the card of a player if completely full, it is called a “BlackOut” and the player wins the prize. Every bingo card contains contains 24 numbered spaces with one empty space in the middle called the “free” space. Each card has random numbers assigned to it and are arranged in 5 columns of 5 numbers each by 5 rows.

The numbers are displayed in the following order:

• B column is between 1 and 15.
• I column is between 16 and 30.
• N column is between 31 and 45 (This column contains the free space).
• G column is between 46 and 60.
• O column is between 61 and 75.

Players can choose from thousands of different unique bingo cards. Some bingo card manufacturers create unique series of up to 6,000 cards and sometimes of 9,000 unique bingo cards.

The numbers are randomly picked by the “Caller”, so you might want to pay attention when he calls out numbers and mark them on your bingo card or cards, it all depends of how many bingo cards you bought.

The caller will keep on calling out number until one or more players will claim he has a Bingo by shouting out “Bingo”. Whenever that happens, the game is temporarily stopped and the numbers are verified. Any player playing bingo completing a bingo pattern must yell out “Bingo”. The prize will be awarded to the winner and a new Bingo game will being with new cards. If there are multiple winners, the prize will be split among all the winners.

There are many variations of the original Bingo game and some of them are called Letter X, Coverall Bingo, Six Pack, and more. In some online Bingos, there are some special progressive jackpots that are available and high payouts as well.

Whenever you play bingo online, your cards are randomly selected for you but most online bingo games give you 3 or 4 cards. Other games let you take more cards.
