Bodog Poker Withdrawn From Over 20 Different Countries

Aug 8, 2023 // Categories: Latest Gambling & Casino News.

One of the biggest online poker websites, Bodog Poker, has sent out a mass email to its customers in 20 different countries all asking them to withdraw all of their funds from their accounts. In the first few emails, details were very short. However, the follow-up emails stated that they had processing issues in those specific markets.

The Affected Countries

The emails that were sent went to all of Bodog’s Poker players that were active in the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The Details Of Why This Is Happening

There has been various rumors going around of why this is happening but no certified truth has been released. Bodog has been keeping silence on all the major details but it is believed that this was caused in relation to the arrest of Bodog’s CEO and Founder, Calvin Ayre. One of Bodog’s spokesperson did give the following statement to one of the reporters of PokerNewsReport.com and shared the following:

“(Bodog is going to) concentrate on our strengths and where we can offer the best product. The Bodog brand is known for its high level of customer service and spreading ourselves too thinly to try and cover a huge amount of smaller markets was proving logistically difficult. Bodog.co.uk will concentrate on growing existing markets.”

The Theories

The most popular theory that has yet to be confirmed by Bodog is that they are leaving the strictly regulated European market to head to the unregulated Asian market. Once more, this is simply a speculation that yet has to be approved by Bodog.

Bodog seems to be in very good financial shape but just like every big company, they are going through a few struggles recently. In the last couple of years, they have withdrawn from the French, Spanish, and Italian markets.
