The Basic Rules Of Keno

Sep 8, 2010 // Categories: Casino Games Rules & Tips // Tags: , .

Keno is probably one of the easiest casino games to play and also the one with the highest payouts. Learning how to play Keno is very easy and requires a small amount of time to learn the basic rules. A good thing about Keno is that its rules do not vary between continents, they are the same all over the world.

To start your Keno game, you must purchase a Keno ticket which is found at the Keno Booth. Once you receive your ticket, mark down all your numbers and go get your receipt. DO NOT lost your receipt because it is your proof of purchase and with what you claim your winnings.

In the most standard form of the game, one or more players play against the house. Players grab their ticket and pick a few numbers that are on the board and mark them. They then bring their ticket to the Keno clerk to receive their receipt. Never lose your receipt because it is with what you will claim your winnings. Look up to the display screen or the board and check to see if the numbers you have selected are showing up on the screen or board.

All the numbers are picked randomly by a computer, meaning that you have around 5 minutes in between each Keno game. Once the numbers start appearing on the screen, mark them down on your ticket. At the end of the Keno round, the computer will display the amount of matches and if you have a winning ticket, go to the Keno clerk and claim your prize. Do not waste time because you may only claim your prize in between 2 Keno games. If a new Keno game starts, you will lose your winnings.

The only thing that varies in Keno from casino to casino is the payouts. Every casino has his own payouts but most of the time they are the same.

  • Playing with 5 numbers and matching 3 of the numbers will get you a payout of 3 to 1.
  • Matching 4 of the 5 numbers will get you a payout of 26 to 1.
  • Matching all 5 numbers will get you a payout of 332 to 1.

Now you might understand why people love Keno so much because, if you are lucky enough, you may win 332x your bet. Now that’s a lot of money!
